The Burns Brothers® organized and executed a symbolic funeral to bury menthol cigarettes “Death to Menthol - Big Tobacco’s Most Racist Flavor”. The event celebrated the FDA’s menthol ban and championed other legislation that would help further the mission of the Black Leaders Against Tobacco Injustice (BLATI).

Black activists gathered at the doorstep of the Altria Group in Sacramento, California. The funeral featured a press conference with speeches for community leaders and a procession of attendees to a flag installation representing the 10,000 deaths per year caused by menthol-flavored tobacco products.
