Prior to creating the Burns Brothers, Mike ran businesses with over 25,000 employees and $600M of annual revenue. He has also held senior Diversity and Inclusion roles at Fortune 500 companies such as Citigroup and Conduent Inc.
Mike spent over 13 years in the US Army, initially serving as a helicopter pilot and civil military advisor with the 101st Airborne Division in support of operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq. He concluded his military career as the Director of Diversity Recruitment and Enrollment for the United States Military Academy at West Point.
John is an attorney, branding expert, published author and television and media personality. John practiced law for almost 2 decades, providing counsel to clients in a wide variety of areas.
He is also a staple in media, telecom and the publishing industries, consulting with brands and providing commentary on several media outlets including MSNBC, TV One, BET and Sirius XM.
John holds a position on the Washington DC National Bar association, is a professor at the Omega School of the Applied Arts and Sciences, has been profiled in Washington Life Magazine and Smart CEO and was honored by Rev. Jesse Jackson and the Rainbow Push Coalition as a Top Inspirational Leader.
